Keep in mind, at current prices it would take a very long time to get your initial investment back with cloud mining. There have been many reports of cloud mining to be a ponzi pyramid scheme as they have the advantage of 'time' on their side. They are basically paying you back what you paid them slowly. However, if the price of BTC does rise significantly you can make a profit doing cloud mining. You are better off using the $150 to buy $150 worth of btc and holding that vs mining it via the cloud. You would instantly get the BTC to USD value vs waiting. My advice if you want to get into mining as a 'hobby' just get a usb miner you can find on ebay. NiceHash is a marketplace where one can buy or sell hashing power (i.e. Power for mining different cryptocurrencies). Prices for sellers are determined. We have on the marketplace). The most interesting stats (at least in my opinion) are those on profitability calculator: https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc. Estimated Expected Cryptocurrency Earnings The estimated expected cryptocurrency earnings are based on a statistical calculation using the values entered and do not account for difficulty and exchange rate fluctuations, stale/reject/orphan rates, and a pool's efficiency. If you are mining using a pool, the estimated expected cryptocurrency earnings can vary greatly depending on the pool's efficiency, stale/reject/orphan rate, and fees. If you are mining solo, the estimated expected cryptocurrency earnings can vary greatly depending on your luck and stale/reject/orphan rate. Here is a nice and useful software for everyone using Nvidia GPUs for mining crypto coins, especially for people that have built mining rigs based on the very popular for mining GeForce GTX 750 Ti video cards. The tool is called Profit Calculator and in open source, being developed by a user called. It queries different crypto exchanges such as Bittrex, Mintpal and Cryptsy for coin prices, uses services like WhatToMine, CoinTweak and CoinWarz for the current coin difficulty and block rewards and also checks Nicehash for their current prices as well as PoolPicker for the most profitable pools. The result you get is a list based on profitability that includes not only the most profitable coins to mine, but also the most profitable multipools as well with an estimate on the expected revenue. The hashrate values that are preset in the tool by default are for a single GTX 750 Ti GPU, but you can change them for other cards if you know the hashrate values of your hardware for the different algorithms. This actually makes the tool useable not only for Nvidia, but also for AMD-based mining rigs as well, though you should first check what hashrate will your hardware be able to provide in order to be able to get more accurate results for what your earnings should be. So do give the tool a try, it can be quite useful even if the results may not always be absolutely accurate, you can still get a pretty good idea about the current market and coin profitability. After day and a half of use of the recently launched cloud mining service we can continue sharing our experience from the service. The Income Calculator is showing shorter time for break in now, meaning that the profitability of the coins mined has increased and now we are getting more like 100-120 day than up to 180 days for return of investment (without reinvesting the earned coins) though this value still varies a lot constantly. We’ve started getting 68 KHS at first just to test the deposit of BTC, then have increased the purchased hashrate to 232 KHS and since then we’ve been reinvesting all of the mined coins back into KHS and we are already at 234 KHS, so two more purchased with the mined coins not bad at all for now. Mining profitability calculator? Ethereum Cryptonote Scrypt Equihash Cloud Mining. The calculations of your cloud mining profitability are based on last 10 days. I can be sure my ZCASH and ETHASH pools are. A great variety of clouds for mining. Scrypt is one of the most. Great cloud mining. Crypto Mining Blog. The Income Calculator is showing shorter. In this exchange you can purchase KHS for scrypt-based cloud mining in a private pool. We are reinvesting only the mined coins, because we are still going to be testing the service for a while more before depositing more coins in it to purchase more KHS. Currently the exchange at has little over 73150 KHS (73 MHS) of hashrate for purchase at a price of 0.00144444 BTC per KHS. This is the hashrate being sold by the service from the available mining power (a second batch of 100000 KHS) that is on the market at the standard price. As soon as it gets sold the trades will go between users who have purchased some of this hashrate, so we can expect that there will be an increase in the price per KHS. With that said it is also going to be a good idea to purchase KHS now and then sell them at profit if you are not interested in mining on the long run. And while you wait for the price to get higher, something that can take a few days, you can still make some extra mining profit, so it seems as a win-win situation. We have also already contacted the support with a few minor issues that we’ve had. We’ve already explained that the service is still very new and in Beta and although things are running quite smoothly, there are still some small things to polish left, but again nothing serious. The support is already looking into these and hopefully they will fix them soon, so should you decide to try the service do report some problems you find and send in your suggestions to the Support – this will help everyone else using the service, not only you. We are going to share more of our experience using the service in the following days, but we would recommend you to try it out yourself as well by getting a few KHS as a test if you are interested in it now. After our initial excitement about the cloud mining service where you can purchase scrypt KHS that will immediately start mining for you we can now share some more of our experience with the service. We have been using it already for almost half a day and it seems to be working very well so far, we’ve made a second BTC deposit and as soon as we got the third confirmation the Bitcoins were available for trading and purchasing KHS on the exchange. So we have increased our hashrate to 232 KHS for testing the service. Our initial 68 KHS were purchased with an exchange rate for 1 KHS of 0.00144390 BTC, but at the moment there is a slight decrease and you can purchase 1 KHS scrypt cloud mining hashrate for 0.00144360 BTC. The income mining calculator over at says that the return of investment will be something in between 90 and 180 days, the profitability of the mined altcoins probably changes often and that affects the earnings in each 10 minute session and thus the Break Even time is affected as well. However that will be true if you only purchase hashrate for mining on the long run, if you also start trading the hasrate on the exchange once there are more trades happening there as currently people are mostly buying as the service is new and there is big availability of KHS for sale. The chances are however the exchange rate will start to increase due to increase in the user interest and the price will probably start to grow. This gives you the chance to not only mine for profit, but also trade for some extra profit thus decreasing the ROI time. So far our profit from mining with the purchased Scrypt cloud mining hashrate is about 0.00072291 BTC for about half a day, though we started with just 68 KHS and then increased our hasrate to 232 KHS at a later time. The mined profit comes in steadily and is available to you every 10 minutes, so you can trade what you have mined for more KHS or withdraw it if you wish, though for now we are reinvesting the mined BTC into more hashrate. We are still very positive about this Scrypt cloud mining service as it really has a lot of potential, so you should give it a try if you are interested. One thing that we are missing at the moment however is the ability to deposit LTC and trade for KHS (as an extra to the available BTC support) with them and also to choose if you want to get your mined earnings in LTC or BTC, after all we are talking about Scrypt mining here, so LTC support is a must have feature and hopefully we are going to see it added soon. Is a new Scrypt-based Cloud Mining Service where you can purchase KHS and they will start mining alternative crypto currencies for you in the cloud right away. This service is really new and very similar to what is for Bitcoin cloud mining, however here you re purchasing Scrypt processing power and not SHA-256 like with CEX. It seems that the service is just a few days old and although there is some polishing that needs to be made it seems fully operational and working with thousands of KHS already available for purchase. Offers both cloud mining and exchange for trading KHS, just like you can do on with GHS and BTC. In this exchange you can purchase KHS for scrypt-based cloud mining in a private pool, and the earnings you get are also calculated in BTC. There is no detailed information yet or ability to control what alternative crypto currencies the pool mines for you, but it should mine based on profitability such as DOGE or LTC for example (in the future there should be an option for the user to choose specific coin to be mined). The current lowest exchange rate for a 1 KHS is 0.00144390 BTC and according to the calculator that the service provides for checking your profitability you should be able to get a return of investment for about 180 days or half a year if you purchase KHS at that price. The good thing about Scrypt mining is that there are not yet serious ASIC devices on the market and there are already a lot of alternative cryptos to mine, so longer term investment in Scrypt could mining seems more reasonable than in SHA-256 cloud mining power. We just started testing the cloud based Scrypt mining service by purchasing a few KHS to test with, so we’ll keep you updated to what is happening and how things are going. Hopefully we are seeing something that will give some good alternative options for people that want to have access to higher Scrypt hashrate without having to deal directly with the hardware themselves. After you transfer some BTC to the service (only 3 network confirmations are required), you can purchase some Scrypt cloud hashrate on the exchange and the KHS you purchase are credited to your account and should start earning mining rewards every 10 minutes shortly. We just got our first small mining reward in BTC as you can see on the screenshot above that we reinvested into KHS. So we advice you to give the service a try with some small amount at first to see for yourself how things will be going as we decided to do. Have in mind that the service is still in Beta, so there could be some hiccups at first, but these will probably be dealt with quickly. Hi, Ive been invested in Cryptocurrency for a couple weeks now. Obviously if you are involved with cryptocurrency you know what cloud mining is. When I heard of cloud mining I though it would be a great opportunity to make money without putting forth hardly any work, but obviously thats not the case. Genesis Mining the leading cloud mining company sells 'Lifetime Contracts' but they are not really lifetime. If you purchased 1TH from Genesis it would cost you $150 as a initial investment. You would be able to mine about.01 Bitcoin a month which equals about $26 because of the fees Genesis mining takes. You look at those numbers and it sounds great because you'll be able to cover your initial investment of $150 in roughly 6 months. What a great deal! Well you're wrong. As bitcoin mining becomes more competitive. Which it will theres no question about it. You will need more hash power to be able to make money again meaning your initial investment of $150 will never make the same consistent profit it does now a year from now. Your 'Lifetime' contracts will end up being so worthless Genesis will cancel them because your contracts won't be even able to cover power costs. You'll want your money back which is impossible because Genesis is nonrefundable and then boom you're scammed. Genesis mining is selling contracts that they know will never be able to full fill and you're the one taking the lose because you'll never be able to get your money back. I hope this gives everyone a better idea of cloud mining in general and that in the end your not going to win. Edit: Even if you do luckily manage to reach your initial investment because of the price of bitcoin significantly rising you would have made so much more just investing in the coin rather than buying hash power to mine for it. There's ONE reason for a large mining operation to rent capacity in a customer-profitable way: Reduce negative float and let them see a return on their investment sooner. By collecting an upfront rent they get immediate cash, and the cost of getting that cash early is their profit is reduced (Shared with the people buying the contracts) ---- so they could finance a large amount of equipment and other capital costs by selling contracts, and the contract seller can go home with profit on month 2 or month 3, instead of month 12; Whereas the delay to profit is transferred to the buyer of the contract, And their profit is small. The problem is that there is so much demand for cloud mining, and people buy these contracts without regard to profitability and risks --- that they are able to actually sell under terms where the people buying these contracts don't have enough built-in profit to make up for the risk they are taking. In other words: Cloud mining WOULD make sense, But the demand-hype in the marketplace prevents this from happening, since there are too many other people willing to buy these mining contracts even if they will lose money --- that it is almost impossible to buy a mining contract that is likely to have high profits for you, or alternatively, that guarantees any profit or offers any protection of your investment against difficulty changes. • Church, George M.; Porreca, Gregory J.; Shendure, Jay; Rosenbaum, Abraham Meir 2017-04-18 The present invention relates to methods for sequencing a polynucleotide immobilized on an array having a plurality of specific regions each having a defined diameter size, including synthesizing a concatemer of a polynucleotide by rolling circle amplification, wherein the concatemer has a cross-sectional diameter greater than the diameter of a specific region, immobilizing the concatemer to the specific region to make an immobilized concatemer, and sequencing the immobilized concatemer. • Hurt, Richard A; Brown, Steven D; Podar, Mircea; Palumbo, Anthony V; Elias, Dwayne A 2012-01-01 Advancement in high throughput DNA sequencing technologies has supported a rapid proliferation of microbial genome sequencing projects, providing the genetic blueprint for in-depth studies. In the complex, TR provides the template for the addition of telomeric repeats to telomeres, a protective structure at the end of linear chromosomes. Human TR with a mutation in the template region has been previously shown to inhibit proliferation of cancer cells in vitro. In this report, we examined the effects of a mutation in the template of a virus encoded TR (vTR) on herpesvirus-induced tumorigenesis in vivo. For this purpose, we used the oncogenic avian herpesvirus Marek's disease virus (MDV) as a natural virus-host model for lymphomagenesis. We generated recombinant MDV in which the vTR template sequence was mutated from AATCCCAATC to ATATATATAT (vAU5) by two-step Red-mediated mutagenesis. Recombinant viruses harboring the template mutation replicated with kinetics comparable to parental and revertant viruses in vitro. However, mutation of the vTR template sequence completely abrogated virus-induced tumor formation in vivo, although the virus was able to undergo low-level lytic replication. To confirm that the absence of tumors was dependent on the presence of mutant vTR in the telomerase complex, a second mutation was introduced in vAU5 that targeted the P6.1 stem loop, a conserved region essential for vTR-TERT interaction. Absence of vTR-AU5 from the telomerase complex restored virus-induced lymphoma formation. To test if the attenuated vAU5 could be used as an effective vaccine against MDV, we performed vaccination-challenge studies and determined that vaccination with vAU5 completely protected chickens from lethal challenge with highly virulent MDV. Taken together, our results demonstrate 1) that mutation of the vTR template sequence can completely abrogate virus-induced tumorigenesis, likely by the inhibition of cancer cell proliferation, and 2) that this strategy could be used to generate novel vaccine candidates against virus • Benedikt B Kaufer 2011-10-01 Full Text Available Telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT and telomerase RNA (TR represent the enzymatically active components of telomerase. We improved the method by (i) lyophilizing and pulverizing the beer to concentrate DNAs, (ii) decomposition of polysaccharides and proteins so as not to inhibit DNA extraction by the use of heat-resistant amylase and proteinase K, (iii) separation of template DNA by purification using 70% EtOH extraction and isopropyl alcohol precipitation, and (iv) the use of magnetic beads to purify DNA. We developed suitable 7 STS ( sequence-tagged site) primers related to beer quality for PCR, and it proved possible to identify 16 dominant malting barley cultivars and 22 kinds of beers. To digitize the results of PCR, discriminative DNA bands were binarized as 0 (disappeared) or 1 (appeared) and subjected to multiple regression analysis. Estimation formulae for the quality of beer were developed using the above-mentioned independent variables based on the results of PCR against dependent variables related to the qualities of beer, including foam stability, bitterness, sourness and astringency. These equations showed multiple regression coefficients of 0.93, 0.82, 0.87, and 0.87 for calibration. • Uprety, Bibek; Westover, Tyler; Stoddard, Michael; Brinkerhoff, Kamron; Jensen, John; Davis, Robert C; Woolley, Adam T; Harb, John N 2017-01-24 An improved method for the metallization of DNA origami is examined in this work. DNA origami, a simple and robust method for creating a wide variety of nanostructured shapes and patterns, provides an enabling template for bottom-up fabrication of next-generation nanodevices. Selective metallization of these DNA templates is needed to make nanoelectronic devices. Here, we demonstrate a metallization process that uses gold nanorod seeds followed by anisotropic plating to provide improved morphology and greater control of the final metallized width of the structure. In our approach, gold nanorods are attached to an origami template to create a seed layer. Electroless gold deposition is then used to fill the gaps between seeds in order to create continuous, conductive nanowires. Importantly, growth during electroless deposition occurs preferentially in the length direction at a rate that is approximately 4 times the growth rate in the width direction, which enables fabrication of narrow, continuous wires. The electrical properties of 49 nanowires with widths ranging from 13 to 29 nm were characterized, and resistivity values as low as 8.9 × 10(-7) Ωm were measured. The anisotropic metallization process presented here represents important progress toward the creation of nanoelectronic devices by molecularly directed placement of functional components onto self-assembled biological templates. • Simmon, Keith E; Steadman, Dewey D; Durkin, Sarah; Baldwin, Amy; Jeffrey, Wade H; Sheridan, Peter; Horton, Rene; Shields, Malcolm S 2004-02-01 An autoclave method for preparing bacterial DNA for PCR template is presented, it eliminates the use of detergents, organic solvents, and mechanical cellular disruption approaches, thereby significantly reducing processing time and costs while increasing reproducibility. Bacteria are lysed by rapid heating and depressurization in an autoclave. The lysate, cleared by microcentrifugation, was either used directly in the PCR reaction, or concentrated by ultrafiltration. This approach was compared with seven established methods of DNA template preparation from four bacterial sources which included boiling Triton X-100 and SDS, bead beating, lysozyme/proteinase K, and CTAB lysis method components. Bacteria examined were Enterococcus and Escherichia coli, a natural marine bacterial community and an Antarctic cyanobacterial-mat. DNAs were tested for their suitability as PCR templates by repetitive element random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) analysis. The autoclave method produced PCR amplifiable template comparable or superior to the other methods, with greater reproducibility, much shorter processing time, and at a significantly lower cost. • Kanavarioti, Anastassia 2015-03-01 Saenger sequencing has led the advances in molecular biology, while faster and cheaper next generation technologies are urgently needed. A newer approach exploits nanopores, natural or solid-state, set in an electrical field, and obtains base sequence information from current variations due to the passage of a ss DNA molecule through the pore. A hurdle in this approach is the fact that the four bases are chemically comparable to each other which leads to small differences in current obstruction. ‘Base calling’ becomes even more challenging because most nanopores sense a short sequence and not individual bases. Perhaps sequencing DNA via nanopores would be more manageable, if only the bases were two, and chemically very different from each other; a sequence of 1s and 0s comes to mind. Osmylated DNA comes close to such a sequence of 1s and 0s. Osmylation is the addition of osmium tetroxide bipyridine across the C5-C6 double bond of the pyrimidines. Osmylation adds almost 400% mass to the reactive base, creates a sterically and electronically notably different molecule, labeled 1, compared to the unreactive purines, labeled 0. If osmylated DNA were successfully sequenced, the result would be a sequence of osmylated pyrimidines (1), and purines (0), and not of the actual nucleobases. To solve this problem we studied the osmylation reaction with short oligos and with M13mp18, a long ss DNA, developed a UV-vis assay to measure extent of osmylation, and designed two protocols. Protocol A uses mild conditions and yields osmylated thymidines (1), while leaving the other three bases (0) practically intact. Protocol B uses harsher conditions and effectively osmylates both pyrimidines, but not the purines. Applying these two protocols also to the complementary of the target polynucleotide yields a total of four osmylated strands that collectively could define the actual base sequence of the target DNA. • Cho, S.B.; Hong, J.S.; Pak, J.H. [Korea University, Seoul (Korea); Kim, Y.M. [National Institute of Health, Seoul (Korea) 2002-02-01 One of the important roles of a DNA chip is the capability of detecting genetic diseases and mutations by analyzing DNA sequence. For a successful electrochemical genotyping, several aspects should be considered including the chemical treatment of electrode surface, DNA immobilization on electrode, hybridization, choice of an intercalator to be selectively bound to double standed DNA, and an equipment for detecting and analyzing the output singal. Au was used as the electrode material, 2-mercaptoethanol was used for linking DNA to Au electrode, and methylene blue was used as an indicator that can be bound to a double stranded DNA selectively. From the analysis of reductive current of this indicator that was bound to a double stranded DNA on an electrode, a normal double stranded DNA was able to be distinguished from a single stranded DNA in just a few seconds. Also, it was found that the peak reduction current of indicator is proportional to the concentration of target DNA to be hybridized with probe DNA. Therefore, it is possible to realize a simple and cheap DNA sensor using the electrochemical measurement for genotyping. 20 refs., 8 figs., 1 tab. Intro Hey guys this Is a updated Guide to CPU Mining as it’s been a While since i made the original. I Made the Original Guide back in Jan. 19th 2014 and it’s been a long time since then and Bitcoin and Crypto has gone up a lot Since Then! I have a buddy who thinks that bitcoin mining is the shit.Now. Bitcoin Mining / GPU Risk. Nmeseth Apr 11. Any sources to credible tests/examples. Bitcoin Profitability Calculator – BTC Mining Profit Calculator. A disruptive technology like ASIC chips could show up and make GPU mining less profitable. Over the years, I tried investing a good amount of time and money in Cloud Mining since i thought that would be simpler and i would not have to worry about equipment, well all of my cloud mining investments turned out to be scam’s and a lost a lot of bitcoin that way! I now just stick with CPU / GPU / ASIC mining! This is the DEAD SIMPLE Guide to the Best CPU Mining Software! No Special Hardware Needed, No Video Card needed, No Special Drivers Needed. Just download, install and your good to go! New to CPU Mining? Where do you Start? Should you mine with you CPU or GPU (Graphics Card) or Both? Both Good questions. Cons: increased Electric cost, loud noise, Heat, lower the life of your equipment. Pros: Learn quickly about cryptocurrency, Possible to get rich, very little downside. You can resell equipment if needed Here is what i recommend I recommend starting with what you have, if you have a basic system the just use that, if you have a Gaming Rig great you will be off to a better start. Give mining a good week and see if it’s something you enjoy, or are you just getting stressed out? If after the first week you are hooked then maybe it’s time to look at a ASIC Rig or a GPU Rig, if you are not really excited about mining after then then Maybe Trading Altcoins, or Buying and Holding Bitcoin is the way you would like to invest in Crypto. Which Coin Should I Mine? If you want the Highest Profit it’s a never ending game of cat and mouse Some sites to look at for Highest Profit Right now: • • • Pick a Coin, any Coin You can decide on which coin to mine, Because they are all using a CPU miner and not a (Graphics Card) or GPU there is no good website like which will tell you the most profitable coin to mine. I would recommend trying one for 24hours then switching to the next coin the mine that one for 24 hours and so on until you have tried them all and then convert those coins to USD and see what is most profitable. Over time that you will want to try again and see if another coin is more profitable. How to Install the CPU Mining Software 1.) Disable your Antivirus. Disable for at least 15 Minutes, and Exclude from future Scans and here is why You should be saying – That seems Suspicious Why should i disable my antivirus is this a Virus? The answer is no it is not a Virus, you can verify this my reading the comments or my other posts or my videos, or download a software called which will let you test out software you don’t know if it’s good or bad. All CPU Miners will show up as Virus you can verify this by leaving you antivirus on and downloading a from a different site you antivirus will remove it before it even downloads. I recommend disable it for at least 15min. After it is download, installed and then you will need to Exclude the install folder Depends on Software installed from future Scans. All Crypto mining software will come up as a virus, if you can find one that does not I would be a miricale. More info here: 2.)Download In order of my personal Preference: Pick one pick them all it’s up to you, depending on you CPU / GPU one might work better than another so give them all a try, but once you find one you like stick with it for at least 1 week. 1.): Simple to use, will give you Alt-coins and you can convert them, you will learn a lot quickly, auto mines most profitable coin. 2.): Simple clean, will payout in Bitcoin weekly, no converting to a different coin, has a high profit. ): No worrying about a bitcoin wallet, Paypal payout, for people who want to see the CASH! ): 3.) Install 4.) Enter your Receive Wallet Address: If you don’t have a Wallet i recommend Enter your wallet for the Miner Type Selected, If you want to mine a Different coin you will need a address for Each Coin Mined. 5.)Test the CPU Mining Software Make sure Start Program invisible is Unchecked, Make sure IDLE & not IDLE is Selected and then Run, a Dos Screen should pop up and say Yay!! After a Minute or two. If nothing pops up check your antivirus software and try another coin see if it works then. 6.)Run Software on PC IDLE Verify the Coin you want to mine under Miner Type, check Start Program invisible, Run Program when: PC IDLE, then Click Run. 7.)Watch Keep a eye on your profit’s you should have at least a weekly payout. Some coins might come with in 1-2 hours others might take 2-3 days depending on your system speed and the coin difficulty. 8.) Exclude CPU Miner Software from your Antivirus How to Exclude a Folder Depending on your Antivirus Software. ( Exclude Folder C: Program Files (x86) Miner Software name) If you have another AV, just search google “exclude a file or a folder from scan (name of Antivirus)” Now you have my CPU Mining Software, go and get those Coins! Let me know if you want to see any other coins added to the software or if you have any problems below. If these seems way to much work your just not your thing Don’t give up on Crypto a couple of other ways to get into Cryptocurrency would be 1.) Purchase Via. You get $10 on new signups if you deposit $100. I recommend purchasing a set amount per month like lets say $50 per month for 1 year and after that revaulate if it’s right for you. 2.) In this case you would do stuff like marketing and put up blog posts and they will give you free altcoins 3.) Learn more about Crypto with Reading Books and listening to Podcast i like 4.) So, to clarify, I can only do solo mining with your software on the 5 CPU coins you have listed? I tried a couple other CPU coins you don’t have listed on this site, like Megacoin and TagCoin and it does not give me anything. Not the case when I use your 5 CPU’s on the site. I vote a HUGE “YES” on you doing other CPUs! Thank YOU so much for making downloading Cryptocurrencies a lot easier. I have tried to figuer it out on my own and I have gotten nowhere except for the currencies you have on your site. 8>) Once again, Thanks, Damon •. Hello, I can’t get MemoryCoin to work either! I think I may have improved the simple miner by downloading a C++ redistributable that apparently is lacking in Microsoft Vista. When I tried using it without this download, I would not get any pop-up of dos window, and no feedback as to whether the program was working or not. With the download, I get the pop-up window, but now find that all I am getting is error messages and constant messages that pool 0 has requested restart. Any suggestions as to anything else I can do with Vista to get this functioning properly? On my other computer, while running a trial copy of Win 7, I get quite a list of hashes and even one or two “Yay’s”, but nothing of the sort with Vista. Is a full system update my only answer? I also now notice that cgminer logs in using your dogecoin address. Should this be changed to my wallet address, or is this something built into the version of miner that you are using to control other options? And, one more question–how can I prevent the dos window from popping up constantly and interfering with other use of my computer. I cannot do anything at all without it blocking my screen and making it necessary to send the window to task bar. However, it simply will not go into silent mode and keeps popping up with endless messages that stratum has requested work restart. Hi Nick, was your old software working through the pool? How much are we donating? Can we change the percentage? Can one computer mine all the different coins at once? Is this productive? Is there an order of which ones built in are the most productive at this time? Are wallets specific for each coin or can I use one wallet for all different coins? Is there any way to speed the synchronization? Download a file? Is it better to mine on multiple slow computers or one faster? If virtual machines are set up does that dilute the mining for each machine? Why is pool mining better? Can I use the same wallet for multiple machines? I know this is a lot of questions. Thanks in advance! Thank i set it up like that in the newer version incase on minerd gets froozen or stuck the other one will take over each is mining around 50% of the core, before i had a lot of people say it would stop mining so i try this to fix it. Right now under Quark it is setup to autodetect how many Thread you have and use all of them if you want to limit them go to Settings and Arguments -t 4 or the number you want at the end of both idle and not idle, on hyper threading no extra speed for quark that i have seen i will keep my eye out for a improved miner though. Thanks, that’s great, yea, they really screwed up the launch, GPUs ready from the word go, even though they said there wouldn’t be. Wasn’t fair at all. They released a windows gui wallet today. I cpu mined for a bit and got nearly 3 maxcoins, pools were falling apart, the one I was on double paid at one point by mistake, & then had to ask users to kindly give back the double payment or there wouldn’t’ be enough to pay others what they had mined, I got nothing paid out yet, but i’m getting less and less as time goes by anyway, doubt I’ll make it to 3 at this rate. Ok this is wierd i let it run over the night and the site still shows 0 on Everything but now i have some in my wallet. Changed the settings Yamyamx.exe to Yamyam.exe and copied the options config. I also updated the Yam to yam-yvg1900-M7m-win64-sandy-bridge (i have a Intel Core I7 2600K). Also is there a command to make it run on only 7 of the 8 cores? I’m mining LiteCoins at the same time and if i dont change the programs core settings it only loses about 50% mining speed but if i change the settings with the Task manager it only looses about 5% •. If you or any one else wants and/or needs help let me know. We can e-mail and by any means we can communicate and get the job done. Getting them to sync was easy part, getting the correct information was very hard. So far by your help (your program & site) I have been able to mine DODE coins, but my windows wallet has stopped receiving coins since 24 January 1014. I don’t know why. I had to turn off the miner for it, wife was getting a little pissed off. I was using her laptop for mining DODE. The wallet is up to date and the miner does show shares accepted. Again thank you and keep up the great work and sharing the knowledge with all of us, and like me who does not know jack about computers, software and about coins. So, far I have got some coins like SRC, DOGE, DTC, QRK, Q2C & MAX. I have not been lucky on MMC & PTS, the software does not work for me. Have mined some XPM but not enough to show-up in wallet yet. Are you planning to do something for KittehCoin, I like this coin. If you could I and some others will really appreciate it. I do have one suggestion for you Nick, is there a way you can create an e-mail list for all your fans out there and let them know about any updates you might have or something new on your site. This way when you have a new miner for a new coin everyone gets an e-mail and we all can jump on it. I know its a little time consuming but once the e-mail list is up and running and people can add them to it. Oh boy, wrote a little too much. Nick, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the Support, If you could post what Steps you took to Fix the Qubit and Maxcoin i have had a lot of people ask me how to sync and i have had some trouble myself with those two in the past. I am coming out with a update version hopefully very soon should let you mine MMC & PPC of your PC, I want to get a GPU miner Going With Kittehcoin/Dogecoin/Maxcoin/ Etc in the works hopefully in a week or so. I have e-mail setup it’s blasting out once a month right now on my new post’s but i am trying to release give people who sign up a Sneak Peek at the post before anyone else gets to look at it. Keep up the Idea’s for improvement! Hi nick ive tried mining all the other coins in the simple miner program but the only one i can get to work is secure coin as with the other ones either the program doesnt work or the wallets just wont sync though after two days of mining ive received nothin into my wallet and i even checked the p2pool.com website and my address wasnt even in the payout tab so i was wonderinh if maybe you can recommened an online wallet i could use tho mine the secure coins and by the way thanks for your help on everything •. So stupid noob question, and I readily admit that I am not terribly technically proficient, but I’ve now tried several coins: litecoin, Memorycoin, primecoin, maxcoin and I just started to try securecoin. Haven’t had any luck at all. Using your recommended miner. Didn’t go full 24 hours on any of them but ran them for quite a few hours and got zero. Got pretty deep into my system but could see where to enable AES-NI, the only thing disabled was called “virtualization”. First question is that it does seem from my reading that coins should appear directly into my respective wallets on my computer after a few hours, or am I missing something? The other question I have is that I am homeless and broke, get computer/electricity either staying at a friends or library, starbucks etc, but I have a decent and very caring social network. Can they run the miner program on their computers and then plug in my wallet address to send me coins? It would be a way for them to help me just using their spare processing power and a few of them have expressed that they like that idea. I am also wondering if anyone in this community would be willing to send me any fraction of a securecoin just so I can see that this thing actually works (and because I’m tired of looking at 0.00 balances in my wallets). I’m also just very interested in this as a cultural commentator/armchair futurist. Thanks for the resource you have provided here. Securecoin: sLnBSdGexQVQfaW6mo5a5Bt9BrEt1Axpka •. It actually is an interesting question, to me at least for obviously selfish reasons, what kind of social good could be accomplished by the coordination of donating bit-mining to a person/cause/venture. Imagine a sort of social network that could coordinate to say, “On Feb 22, 2015 interested miners should place the following address in their miners for 24 hours to benefit Jane Doe’s attempt to do X”. For the participants it’s just electricity and processing power but for the beneficiary potentially life changing. Or imagine taking solar powered processing rigs and satellite internet connections into isolated places in Africa or wherever. You could have a local school (or hospital or community center what have you) set up the rig and mainly use the computer for all the things computers are good at in those sorts of ventures, and then dedicate the spare processing power to bit-mining currency which they could then use to expand and support their operation. In particular I like the idea of solar processing, since one of the main production expenses here is electricity. Turning sunlight into money. I like that idea. Since Iceland is planning on abandoning their fiat currency for cryptocurrency this is obviously going to be a huge force going in to a very, very strange future. It would be interesting to see what could happen if people interested in this, even just occasionally, took a break from generating thirty seven cents a day for themselves using an old laptop and collectivized that activity for some project or other. I’d be happy to be the focus of such a project! I do some social commentary here: •. Just an update and then I’ll shut up as not everyone likes to hear me talk as much as I do, but Securecoin worked! Think it was just a couple of hours but 0.00187 SRC shows up in my wallet as “immature”. Don’t know how that translates into USD and don’t care, just kind of exciting to see proof of concept. Regardless, my plan is to build up these coins for quite some time until it is financially meaningful for me to cash out. The point of the post is that I chose SRC after seeing posts by other frustrated bit-miners who said that this is the only coin that worked for them. Well, it works for me too! Again I thank you for collecting and posting all this information here. I’ve been all over trying to find good information on this subject since I heard about Iceland, and this is definitely the best resource. Well done, congratulations and many, many thanks! Hello, My name is matias, am 18 years old and I am from Uruguay so I speak Spanish, and I wrote these lyrics by the translator, then I hope you will forgive me for this haha I’m new to the mining and I started to try relatively new coins as much as LTC BTC are very difficult to mine with an ordinary PC. I started with Primecoin, MemoryCoin, QuarkCoin, MegaCoin, SecureCoin and DarkCoin, and I have ” mined ” some of this with the Setup CpuMiner. Who has given me ” more gain ” has DarkCoin acid, I think. Turns out as I am new I do not understand anything you do or say, or mean numbers, if they are good, if they are bad or that they do the mining my CPU. Ihave a FX4100 quad -core ( 3.6GHz ) and being 100% I do not know if the numbers and data that makes me the command are good or bad for a mine, there is something that tells me every goal that was accepted and that but do not know how to or like. Would request if possible a little explanation can attach a photo of my command if you do not mind to tell me whether or uqe my mined pays no. The photo you take is a minefield of DarkCoin makes this 6 hours running and going 27 of 29 accepted. Also, what mean “yay” and “boo”? Pardon my ignorance but again I’m new jaja From already thank you very much. Regards Matias •. It would be great if you could add Popularcoin (POP) to the list that works with your program. STRATUM:stratum+tcp://pop.pools.triplehexxx.netPORT:3333 I’ve been trying to add it myself to minerd, but when I try to open minerd it just comes up for a millisecond and then closes again. I added a.bat file to the directory with POP pool but I still get the same issue where it the DOS window pops up for just a second and then vanishes. Do not get it. I also tried to get the GUI GPU miner to work on my computer, but it doesn’t recognize my card (even though it says ANY AMD card would work) I have a 5550 which I know wouldn’t provide much in the way of hash rate but again I am simply trying to learn about this stuff as much as anything. I downloaded everything, followed the steps, but I’ve been encountering a few problems since then. I Started out with mining dogecoins and things were sent to an wallet I established on MultiDoge. HOWEVER,from a balance of 611 or so Doges, not only was it reduced to zero but the wallet account was lost and unable to retrieve it through back up. Also, when I went to restart the CPU Coin Miner,it was only done that one time only. It would not restart or reboot or anything. Not being tech savvy, what should I do to regain lost doges from MultiDoge, and do I dare repeat the download steps for the CPU miner listed on this page?? I must be doing something wrong. I installed the program and clicked on darkcoins, changed the wallet to mine, have it set to start idle and not idle, saved everything. Then when it started the first time, it did a list for several pages and then said it couldn’t connect with the server or some such wording but it was hashing before that. So I stopped and started over. Now it only shows nine lines: 1. Binding thread 0 to cpu 0 2. Binding thread 1 to cpu 1 3. Binding thread 2 to cpu 2 4. 4 miner threads started, using “script’ algorithm. Binding thread 3 to cpu 3 6. Starting Stratum on stratum+cp:elitter.net.7903 7. Stratum_recv_line failed 8. Retry after 30 seconds. Stratum connection failed: Failed connect to elitter.net:7903; No error 10. Then lines 8 and 9 continue to be repeated every 30 seconds sometimes saying what is in 7 above followed by 8 and sometimes showing what is in 9 above followed by line 8. Don’t understand why it started to work and then stopped. And now I just keep getting the same thing over and over again. Is there another miner I should be using for darkcoins on a cpu? 1- BEST TRUSTED LEGIT AND PAYING BITCOIN INVESTMENT COMPANY SINCE 2016 JOIN NOW EARN 1% to 2% DAILY Up to 40% per month MINIMUM INVESTMENT $100 3 LEVELS(5%,3%,2%) REFERRAL COMMISSIONS INVESTMENT GUIDE: Step 1: Login and Click EXCHANGE and Deposit BTC Step 2: Click Exchange SCROLL DOWN and Buy BITCONNECT(BCC) atleast worth of $100 or More with Bitcoin on trading platform Step 3: Proceed to Dashboard and Click LEND BITCONNECT Step 4: Enter 100 amount or above.
